Alibaba Partners with Nigerian Logistics Firm Kwik, to Offer Special Rates

Ecommerce giant Alibaba has partnered with Nigerian digital platform for logistics services Kwik to support Nigerian exporters with access and special rates.

    • •The partnership makes Kwik the first Alibaba.com Authorised Channel Partner in Sub-Saharan Africa.
    • •Kwik will market the Alibaba to Nigerian manufacturers, producers and exporters.
    • •The announcement also includes special rates for Nigerian manufacturers and exporters to acquire membership on the platform.

“We are excited to partner with Kwik by offering great opportunities to Nigerian exporters to access millions of buyers around the world” declared Foncel Lan, Head of Global Potential Countries, Alibaba.com.

For merchants, Alibaba is more of a marketplace than a listing platform. Users pay an annual membership fee to list their products, with different tiers available to members. Once listed, buyers and sellers interact on the platform, but the transaction itself takes place offline.

Kwik provides logistics services to merchants, businesses and corporations. Its services include last-mile delivery, e-commerce, and financial services.
