Airtel Africa has appointed Olusegun “Segun” Ogunsanya, who is currently the MD and CEO of Airtel Nigeria, to succeed Raghunath “Raghu” Mandava as Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Africa.
Airtel said Raghu informed the Board of his intention to retire having been at the company for 13 years and at Airtel Africa for 5 years. Segun will join the Board of Airtel Africa plc with effect from 1 October 2021 and will be the first African CEO of Airtel Africa.
Segun joined Airtel Africa in 2012 as MD and CEO of Airtel Nigeria, Airtel Africa’s largest market.
