Nairobi, Kenya – From a highly competitive pool of more than 200 applications representing 27 countries, the TOP10 startups selected for the final stage of the Latitude59 Kenya Edition Pitch Competition have now been confirmed. These teams alongside a standout lineup of founders, innovators and industry leaders will take the stage from December 3–5 in Nairobi.
The selected teams include solutions such as drone- and AI-powered carbon measurement, automated smart-locker infrastructure, AI-driven crop health platforms, circular pet nutrition, influencer tooling, healthcare operations software, and clean aquatic protein for sustainable food systems.
According to Triin Ilves, Head of Startup Relations, the competition reflects an ecosystem in rapid acceleration. “The level of execution we saw this year was remarkable - narrowing the list to ten meant extremely tough decisions,” said Ilves. “These teams aren’t just building impressive tech; they’re bringing clarity, speed and global ambition. We’re excited to see them sharpen their pitches and take the stage in Nairobi.”
The founder of Nairobi Business Angel Network Nick Vilelle said that as a network of local investors, NaiBAN is really excited by the caliber of the startups in this year's Latitude59 Pitch Competition. “It is because of these type of founders that we formed our network - so that we can be the first investors to back these innovative and game-changing technologies. We're eager to write a check next week and join the journey of one of these inspirational founders,” he added.
TOP10 startups are Acre Insights, Beba-Beggie, LimaBot AI, LOOP Pet Food, Mediakits.io, MyItura, PaydHQ, ProPath Sports, RUN and Vertical Lake. More information about the startups is here.
Latitude59’s CEO Liisi Org added that Latitude59 Kenya 2025 is about backing the people who are building Africa’s next big breakthroughs. “We’ve designed the program so founders walk away with something real — clarity, connections, and the kind of practical know-how that moves companies forward. African entrepreneurs are already shaping solutions the world needs, and Nairobi will gather 40+ operators and leaders who understand both the grit and the opportunity behind building from this continent.”
Latitude59 Kenya will introduce a notable lineup of founders, leaders and innovator. Among them are David Nandwa (Honeycoin), Monicah Muhoya (SisterSpeaks Global), Chisom Anoke (Yango), Vinod Goel (Jumia East Africa), Michelle Watiki (Duck) who will share candid founder stories on growth, resilience and navigating Africa’s fast-evolving markets to give early-stage entrepreneurs direct access to real operational knowledge.
One of the highlights of the event is Taavi Kotka, one of the architects behind Estonia’s digital transformation, who will unpack how Estonia became an IT and startup superpower. On the second day, Dr. Myriam Sidibé, a global leader in public health and social impact, will speak on unlocking inclusive and sustainable growth through innovation.
The conference programme also includes the Digital & Green Innovation (DGI) Summit Africa. Built on the momentum of the EU–Africa digital partnership, the 2-day summit gathers African innovators, investors, policymakers, and global partners to co-create pathways for sustainable, human-centred digital transformation and green innovation.
