Logistics firms Africa Global Logistics (AGL) and Yusen Logistics have launched Yusen Africa (East Africa) Limited, a new joint venture company headquartered in Nairobi, a week after securing regulatory approval.
- •The new integrated freight forwarding (IFF) and logistics provider, firm will operate from Kenya and across the Eastern Africa.
- •Kenya will serve as a strategic gateway for regional operations, supporting key trade corridors including the Northern Corridor, the Central Corridor, and the Ethiopia–Djibouti corridor.
- •Yusen Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK Line—Japan’s largest shipping company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, while AGL has operations in 50 countries including Haiti, East Timor and Indonesia.

Yusen Africa (East Africa) will aim for a clientele operating across sectors such as automotive, healthcare, FMCG, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
