    Absa Bank Appoints Kedibone Imathiu as Independent Non-Executive Director

    The Board of Directors of Absa Bank Kenya PLC has announced the appointment of Kedibone Imathiu as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank, with effect from Tuesday, 1st November 2022.

    Kedibone brings on board sound business and leadership skills, honed by 18 years’ experience in audit, accounting, advisory, corporate finance, private equity, and fund management.

    Kedibone has previously served in various organisations including Investec Bank, Public Investment Corporation (PIC), and KPMG. She also co-founded Kazi Capital and Heritage Capital, both women-owned and managed private equity investment firms.

    She currently serves as an advisor to portfolio companies such as Sekta Group and also serves on the Boards of AIG South Africa Limited, AIG Life South Africa Limited, and Federated Employer’s Mutual Assurance Company.

    Kedibone Imathiu holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (BCompt) Degree from the University of South Africa, a Bachelor of Accounting Degree (Hons) from the University of South Africa, and an MBA from Cranfield University UK.

    She is also a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a Chartered Director from the Institute of Directors South Africa.
