Kenya Airways(KQ) Plc has informed its shareholders that the listed firm will hold its 46th Annual General Meeting(AGM) via electronic means on Friday, 8th July 2022.
Shareholders of KQ are expected to re-elect Michael Joseph, John Ngumi, Esther Koimett and Angus John Clarke as directors of the national carrier after they all offered themselves for re-election.
This is in addition to approving the firm’s financial statements for the period ended 31st December 2021.
Shareholders will be allowed to elect directors to fill the vacancies and will be requested to elect board members at the meeting or in advance.
KQ Financial Performance in 2021
In its profit and loss statement for the year ended 31st December 2021, KQ made a total income of KSh 70,221m, an increase from KSh 52,805m in 2020, while operating costs reduced from KSh 79.9m in 2020 to KSh 77m in 2021.
The airline cut its operating losses from KSh 27.1m in 2020 to 6.8m in 2021, while its pre-tax loss declined from KSh 36.6m in 2020 to KSh 16m in 2021.
KQ made a net loss of KSh 15.9m in 2021, an improvement from a net loss of KSh 36.2m at the close of the financial year ended 31st December 2020.
