Liberty Holdings has announced the appointment of Godfrey Kioi as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1st April 2022.
Godfrey’s appointment follows the retirement of Mike du Toit from his position as CEO of the company. Mike will however continue to serve as a non-executive director of the company and its subsidiaries.
Godfrey joined Liberty Holdings in 2014 and currently acts as the managing director of heritage insurance limited, a subsidiary of the company. In his role, Godfrey has won several awards including the most influential corporate governance leaders in Kenya.
Earlier in the year, Liberty issued a profit warning to investors and the general public that based on preliminary unaudited consolidated financial results after tax for the year ended 31st December 2021 are likely to be lower by at least 25%.
