Dubai has indefinitely extended suspended flights from Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania starting December 26th 2021.
However, outbound flights from Dubai to the same countries will remain unaffected by the new extension.
This measure is likely to affect travellers from Kenya who prefer Dubai as a favourite shopping destination especially during the end year festive season.
Earlier on December 20th 2021, UEA suspended flights from these three countries for 48 hours, an order that has now been escalated until further notice.
“Affected customers do not need to call us immediately for rebooking. Customers can simply hold on to their Emirates ticket and when flights resume, get in touch with their travel agent or booking office to make new travel plans,” said Emirates in a notice.
All passengers travelling to UEA from any point of origin (GCC countries included) must hold a negative COVID‑19 RT‑PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, except for travel from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Sudan and Tanzania.
