Marshalls East Africa announced its full year results for the financial period ending 31st March 2016. The following are the key highlights:
- Revenues plunged by 22.8% from Ksh 105 million in 2015 to Ksh 81 million in 2016.
- Gross Profit stood at 20.7 million in 2016 vs 25.7 million in 2015
- Operating loss stood at Ksh 30.6 million in 2016 versus an operating loss of 113.7 million in 2015. The improvement although on the negative side is largely due to a provisioning item which appeared as Ksh 69 million in 2015 vs a Ksh 5 million provision in 2016.
- Net Losses stood at Ksh 17.4 million against a net loss of Ksh 20.3 million in the previous year.
