NAIROBI, Sept 22 (Reuters) – The weighted average yield on Kenya’s 20-year bond fell at auction to 14.601 percent at this week’s auction from 14.836 percent at the last sale in July, the central bank said.
The yield on a five-year bond also on sale at the auction on Wednesday dropped to 13.112 percent from 14.069 percent at its last auction in July. The central bank said it received bids worth 56.45 billion shillings ($557.97 million) for the two bonds. It had offered to sell 25 billion shillings’ worth of the bonds, and accepted 35.34 billion shillings.
