Kenya Association of Manufacturers’ (KAM) local goods online directory has gone live, a move that seeks to prevent disruptions in the market during this COVID-19 outbreak.
KAM reports that the local goods online directory will provide information on readily available products and services in the manufacturing sector. This will go a long way in supplementing imported finished goods seeing that countries have restricted the movement of people and goods.
Furthermore, the portal also seeks to support manufacturers to access raw materials and intermediate goods available in the country.
Henceforth, buyers will be able to access manufacturers; contacts and pay via cashless transactions for goods that will be then directly delivered to homes and shops.
This is an initiative by the manufacturing sector to make sure that consumers are aware of the products available during this difficult time. It consolidates all the members under the Association and their products.
