Kenya Airways has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Guangzhou starting Friday 31, 2020.
Other global airlines suspended their flights to mainland China, after the upsurge of the deadly Corona Virus, that has claimed more than 200 lives.
Furthermore, the virus has spread to 15 countries with World Health Organisation (WHO) declaring it a public health emergency.

Kenya Airways Pilots Association (KALPA) had issued a statement demanding suspension of KQ flights to Guangzhou citing health risks and KQ’s inadequate control measures such as spray-disinfecting the flight deck. Failure to comply would have led to withdrawal of pilots and cabin crew from the affected route.
However, the Kenya airways maintains that it will still run the Nairobi-Bangkok route.
