The Central Bank of Kenya market survey reported strong forward hotel bookings for November and December 2019.
According to the MPC Market Perception Survey, leisure hotels and resorts anticipate an increase in bookings during the peak season.
However, business hotels had low projections as most local and international companies were winding up for the year.
On top of that, survey respondents were optimistic about economic growth prospects due to growth in tourism. Moreover, the implementation of the Big 4 agenda projects and a stable macroeconomic environment will spur growth.
Average forward booking in the last two month of 2019 is higher in comparison to 2018.
