Housing Finance Corporation (HFC) has announced that it will fully redeem the principal sum of the seven-year bond issued in 2012.
The company announced that the final redemption of the principal amount of tranche II of the bond will be paid on Monday 14th October 2019. The mortgage company will pay the KSh2.97 billion principal amount and KSh193 million interest.
The payment is to be paid to the note bond holders whose name appear on the register of bondholders as at the close of business of Monday 30th September 2019.
HFC expressed their appreciation to the bond holders of the HFC medium term bond for helping them successfully raise capital from the debt market as well as retiring the debt in full on maturity.
HFC had recently released half-year results for the period that ended in June 2019. The mortgage provider posted KSh97 million net loss in the six months period from a KSh6.8 million net profit in the first half of 2018
