Embu County Government will now export agro-produce goods valued at Sh1.2 billion annually after it secured a deal with Habitat Intertrade company, which deals with farming and trading of horticultural products.
The county’s agricultural department entered into the deal as a means of boosting farming and trading of horticultural products from the county at the national level.
Embu Governor Martin Nyaga Wambora said the partnership with Habitat Inter Trade would expand the markets, create jobs and ensure food security in the county.
