BIDCO Africa has launched an anti-corruption campaign that aims to end graft within its value chain saying it believes its wise to have an anti-corruption policy within the company.
BIDCO board has already signed the business code of ethics which was developed in partnership with the Kenya Association of Manufacturers and the United Nations Global Compact. The campaign will first be implemented in Kenya and other East African Countries with BIDCO presence will follow.
“The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among our employees and suppliers about corruption to ensure the vice is eliminated from our environment. Anyone who does business with us must operate to our level of ethics,” BIDCO head of corporate communications and PR,Ms Pharis Kimaru said.
