Zoho, a company based in India known for its enterprise resource planning software, has recently unveiled the opening of its new branch in Westlands, Nairobi.
This move comes in response to the growing demand of its expanding customer base in Kenya, and takes pride in its ability to achieve its current success through self-funding.
The office is currently undergoing renovation and is expected to become fully operational by April 2023. The new office will include a modern training centre for both Zoho’s associates and clients.
The new office’s training centre is equipped with advanced video conferencing technology and can accommodate up to 40 attendees at any given time. This facility will be instrumental in providing a platform for customers and partners in Kenya to engage, learn and interact with the company’s suite of over 55 business software solutions.
Although this move does not equate to the innovation centres launched by companies like Google, VISA, Bolt, and Microsoft in the country, it is still a positive step for the company in customizing its products to suit the Kenyan market.
It is unclear if Zoho has opened a similar centre in other markets, making the local one the first in the MEA region.
Zoho has experienced significant growth in Kenya over the past year, with a 48% increase in revenue and a substantial rise in the number of employees.
The company’s focus on building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with partners in the country is evident in its 33% growth in the partner network in 2022.
We are thrilled to open our new office in Kenya,” said Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head – Kenya, Zoho Corp. “We believe that our on-ground presence in Kenya will help us better serve our customers in the country. Zoho is committed to investing in local talent to provide the best possible service to its customers, this also reflects our strategy for business growth and expansion—transnational localism, in which we aim to be locally rooted while being globally connected. We look forward to working closely with local businesses and empowering them digitally to drive growth and innovation.
