Netflix has reduced the cost of its monthly subscription fees by 37% in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa, effective February 21, 8 am. The aim is to give its customers greater value for their money.
On Tuesday, the company made an announcement regarding their pricing. They stated that their mobile plan will now be priced at KES 200, previously KES 300, and their basic plan will be priced at KES 300, previously KES 700. The standard plan will now cost KES 700, previously KES 1,100, and the premium plan will cost KES 1,100, previously KES 1,450.
Our goal is simple: to offer a wide variety of quality shows and films curated for you. New members who sign up will see the new prices immediately. The update will roll out to existing members from their next billing cycle over the coming weeks. Existing members will be notified by email, [as well as within the Netflix app 30 days before the new prices are applied to them (this is only for auto-upgrades)]. The exact timing will depend on the specific member’s billing cycle.
