What is Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a popular worldwide cryptocurrency. It was invented by a mysterious programmer/group of programmers under the name Satoshi Nakamoto. The system uses peer-to-peer, and transactions take place between users directly, without an intermediary e.g a bank. These transactions are verified by network nodes and recorded in a public distributed ledger called a blockchain (Wikipedia). Satoshi Nakamoto is believed to be in possession of Bitcoins worth $4.7 Billion.
