The Africa CEO forum, a business summit that convenes chief executives and investors from the private sector, will be held in Kigali, Rwanda on March 25 and 26, 2019.
Jeune Afrique Media Group and Swiss company Rainbow Unlimited will organise the forum, which is the largest gathering of business-persons, investors, policymakers and key government officials from the continent.
The 2018 forum, held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire in March, was graced by the presidents of the host country, Zimbabwe, and Ghana. In addition, ex-presidents Olusegun and Obasanjo from Nigeria were also present at the event. During the forum, the first Women in Business Leadership meeting for African Women CEOs was inaugurated.
Rwanda as a Strategic Location
Rwanda was chosen as the next host of the forum because of the need to “strengthen regional integration on the continent.”
Founder and President of the Africa CEO Forum Amir Ben Yahmed said:
“This 7th edition will […] be held at the heart of the continent, in Rwanda, a country both francophone and anglophone, whose economic dynamism and development model anchored in education, innovation and performance perfectly reflect the values of the Africa CEO Forum.”
Holding the forum in Rwanda will offer regional economic opportunities for nations in Eastern and Central Africa. Furthermore, Rwanda is the perfect location because it offers access to a regional market of over 150 million people and 68 trade agreements. The country will aid in facilitating meetings and business flow among corporate leaders across Africa.
