    2017 African Banker Awards Nominees; Kenya, SA, Morocco Nigeria Dominate

    The African Banker Magazine has revealed the nominees for the ten categories in the 2017 African Banker Awards. The awards recognise top-ranking individuals and institutions setting new benchmarks for performance and pushing the boundaries within the banking industry.

    From the list, Africa’s tier one banks dominate the list with banks from Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa having been nominated across all the 10 categories.

    The 2017 African Baker Awards will take place during the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) on Wednesday 23rd May at the gorgeous Regency Hyatt in Ahmedabad, India. This is the first time the AfDB’s Annual meetings will be held in India, and specifically in the Gujarat State, where President Modi used to be Governor.

    From the list, Kenyan CEOs Dominate the Awards with Barclays Bank Kenya CEO Jeremy Awori, Joshua Oigara of KCB and James Mwangi of Equity all nominated for the prestigious “African Banker of the Year Award.”
