Kenya’s Sh 30 Bln Re-Opened Bond 30% Oversubscribed, Sh 26.4Bln Accepted

The Central Bank of Kenya has released the results of the recently re-opened 15 Year bond which was worth Sh 30 Billion.

The issue was oversubscribed by 30 per cent amounting to Sh 39.073 Billion but CBK accepted only Sh 26.409 Billion. Of this, competitive bids were Sh 22.177 Billion vs non-competitive bids which amounted to Sh 4.232 billion.

  • Weighted Average Yield on Accepted Bids 12.520% Vs previous auctions’s 13.112%

  • Coupon Rate 13.500%
